5-Week Cartoon Drawing & Comic Styles Course

Ages 6–17 | Mondays | 1.5 hours per class

Join us for a fun and creative 5-week journey into the world of cartooning and comic book art! Each week, students will explore new drawing styles and techniques, building their skills in character creation, sketching, and visual storytelling.

Course Schedule:

Week 1: Classic Cartoon Characters

• Learn to draw classic-style cartoons (think Looney Tunes & Mickey Mouse)
• Focus on expressive faces, basic shapes, and simple action poses

Week 2: Superhero Comic Art

• Explore dynamic superhero styles inspired by Marvel & DC comics
• Practice bold outlines, action poses, and costume design

Week 3: Manga & Anime Basics

• Learn the foundations of manga and anime drawing
• Focus on proportion, big eyes, stylized expressions, and movement

Week 4: Funny Strips & Storytelling

• Create your own 3-4 panel comic strip
• Develop characters, simple backgrounds, and comedic timing

Week 5: Fantasy Creatures & Villains

• Design monsters, sidekicks, villains, and mythical characters
• Practice exaggeration and creative character design

• 4:00pm - 5:30pm
• Duration: 5 Weeks
• $200 - 7.5 hours of instruction

All materials included. Students are encouraged to bring sketchbooks if they’d like to build a personal portfolio!
