In this class students will become familiar with drawing in ink using technical pens and ink washes. Ashley Gaboury will guide you to sketch a variety of subjects including birds, landscapes and animals. Develop loose mark-making techniques and then discover the freedom to use them uninhibitedly. Learn to apply ink washes to your drawing to add value and pencilcolors and/or markers for touches of color. This class is ideal for those interested in journaling and those who want to develop an illustrative art style. Adult/Teen level. Some supplies included.
Supplies needed:
#005, 01, 03 Permanent pens (Micron or Copic Multi-liners suggested)
Permanent brush pen (Faber-Castell suggested)
White eraser and kneaded eraser
H Pencil
3B Pencil
Sharpener
White gel pen #8 or 10
White pencil crayon (Prismacolor suggested)
India Ink
#6 Round synthetic brush
Sketchbook - 8.5”x 11”, 70lb or more
Watercolor or Mixed Media sketchbook - 8”x8” or 8.5” x 5.5”
Toned tan paper – sketchbook or 1 large sheet divided in 4
