The Call of the Raven with Russell Thomas

I fell in love with ravens while living in northern Alberta. They would often visit the original Birdsong Studio in our backyard in downtown Fort McMurray and talk with me. Incredibly expressive, Ravens have a variety of vocalizations that are absolutely entrancing. They are also fun to paint, especially when you break through the barriers of realism. This workshop will invite you to play with colour, texture and contrast.

Materials Required

Square canvas (12” x 12” to 24” x 24”)

A variety of acrylic paints and brushes (black and white are essential)
